Food Ingredients

Are you the kind of person who reads the labels on the food items you buy? I do it quite often. I find it very disturbing when items I want to buy have labels filled with ingredients that I have no clue about what they are. Those items I leave on the shelf in the store. I work hard on eliminating ingredients like high fructose corn syrup among others.

There are days I'm tired of reading labels. Those days I make most of the food from scratch at home. The problem is that it takes more time than I've.

A couple of years ago I was well informed about the high amount of sugar juices have. The few times I buy a regular juice in the average food store, I dilute it with water. Guess if I was surprised the other day when I compared the daily values of a coke and an apple juice, and I found the values of sodium, carbohydrate and sugar were higher in the juice than the coke! Do you know if your choice of juice has higher values than a coke?
