Stealing Neighbours

I'm about to tell you something I've never heard about before, and something I never thought would happen, and something I will NEVER ACCEPT. MY NEIGHBOUR TWO DOORS DOWN STOLE OUR XMAS GIFTS that was mailed to us!! (YES, you are reading correctly). How did I found out? As I was pulling up on my parking lot this afternoon, I saw the lady walk to the recycle bin (that we share) with a familiar Finnish patterned wrapping paper. Hm.. Since the recycle bin was packed after Xmas, the lid did not close. I checked it out, and guess if I was surprised when I saw it was addressed to ME!!! What the?? Then I saw the package was empty with empty Xmas wraps and two cards to us. Where were the gifts??

I walked immediately down to their door, knocked and the man opened. I asked to talk to the lady to see what's going on? Oh, he said, "we received it many days ago." So? I said. Don't you give it to the person it is addressed to, or give it back to the mail man? Then I asked if we can have our gifts? No, he said, "it was NOTHING IMPORTANT!!!" Excuse me?? My gifts from my friends are very valuable to me, no matter what the gift is, because they've been thinking about us, putting down the time to buy and to mail it out.

After talking to him for 5 minutes, I realized he is not gonna give me my gifts, so I told him I'll call the police so they can clear everything up. Then he was screaming after me "you can call the cops, you can sue me, you can do whatever." This came from a man who is in his 50's!! Where is his morale? Did he loose his brain? Is he not ashamed over stealing someone else's gift, and I found out about it? I was ANGRY and MAD!

As I was home, getting ready to call the non-emergency line to the cops, he knocked on the door. There he stood, with two gifts, looking like he was a little pet, trying to say excuse me with a phony smile and "we lived there for only 1,5years (!!!!) and we receive so much mail addressed to other people. SO WHAT? YOU OPEN EVERYONES MAIL? I told him it's unacceptable and I'm not gonna listen to his lame excuses. You don't do like that!! I shot the door in his face. One thing I'm sure about, I will let my Great Neighbours know to watch out for them, because I wouldn't trust them. What kind of role models are they for their teenager? This is an area where things like this don't happen, or obviously it happens. I wonder if they also took another package I've been waiting for for 4 weeks now??
