A Special Day

Today is a Special Day for me. I started the celebration yesterday @ Cocola, and I'll finish tomorrow in the afternoon. Tonight I'll celebrate by making a delicious dinner: Greek Salad, Hummus, Pita bread and dolmas (oh how I love dolmas). Cheers!

If I Could..

.. I would go and pack my bags to leave for a week in Hawaii. Would love to bring my young man up North Shore to check out the big turtles. Would love to go snorkeling and surfing. Would love to relax and have fun. If I could..

Dream Meeting

Yesterday morning I had a dream meeting of a lifetime. A couple of main ingredients make your life. The meeting would very much affect one of the main ingredients of my life. I hope the outcome will be great. =)

Feels Like Summer Is Here

The weather has been sweet the past couple of days. Feels like summer is here. I'm so happy I'm not in parts of the country that are facing snow storms or flooding at this moment.

After cleaning our yard in the afternoon, we drank raspberry juice hiding under the umbrella. Mmm.. summer feelings from back home.

Days like these, Sunblock and Aloe Vera are a must.

Wedding = Need Dress & Suit

In a couple of weeks we'll attend a wedding. As always appropriate dress and suit needs to be bought. Today I made an effort on trying to find either or, but it ended with me walking out with a new pair of skate shoes.. also needed, but not appropriate for the wedding. We'll try again on Friday..

Dreams

My young man is planning on building a big skate park in our yard. He asked his friend the other day if he wants to help him. Today he was drawing all the different kind of ramps and rails he wants in the park. He said they need to start building it soon, so it will be done within reasonable time, since it takes a lot of time to build it.

Oh my.. I don't want to crash his dream. But I've to be realistic. Today I tried telling him that it will probably not be a reality within the next couple of years. We're lucky to live in a place that has 2 great skate parks around the corner.

He also plans on opening his own shop where he'll sell finger skateboards, finger bmx bikes, skateboards and bmx bikes. He told me in detail what items he will sell in his shop so everyone can afford buying something according to how much they can afford to spend.

Adventurous Day

When I hang out with one of my friends, the day most of the time became very adventurous. Today was one of them. Lunch, interruption, great news, pouring rain (why today?), one appointment, dead car battery (how's that possible?), 1hr in traffic jam driving 2 blocks, another appointment..

However, after spending hours in traffic, I saw this proverb on a car "When the Power of Love Overcome the Love of Power, the World Will Know Peace." Very true.

I hope you'll have a great weekend.

Palettes & Acrylic Paint

The other day it was time to update palettes, acrylic paint & paint brushes. My young man spends hours drawing every week. Yesterday he drew a boy on a skateboard. First time ever. Big change from drawing more abstract. Usually I join too. It's so relaxing.

Appreciating Life

Late evening hour. Some Me time. Precious. Came across Still Ray. Beautiful. Looking through pictures. Memories. Appreciating life.

Cleaning Out Clutter

Today I'm cleaning out clutter. I can't stand clutter. I like to stay organized and not keep stuff I've not used the past year, and probably won't use in the future either. Clothes, shoes, toys, books, whatever comes my way that we've have no use for is going to Goodwill or in the garbage bag.

Tea Light Holder and Mask

This tea light holder and mask is another of my findings at a thrift store. I like masks like this one. They represent so much. Spirituality, mysticism, power..

Sand Angel

The first sand angel of the year was made the other day by my young man.
